I meet you where you are and help guide you where you want to go
Tara B. Womble, LCSW, LCDC
Licensed Clinical Social Worker & Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor
EMDR-Trained Clinician
Hi, I’m Tara. I work with individuals and families who are navigating addiction, trauma, grief, and the ups and downs of relationships—both family and romantic. My approach is grounded in compassion, curiosity, and collaboration. I believe therapy works best when you feel truly seen and supported, and my goal is to create a space where you can show up exactly as you are.
As both an LCSW and LCDC, I understand how complicated addiction and recovery can be—not just for the person struggling, but for the entire family. I work with the identified patient as well as their loved ones, helping everyone find their footing, communicate more clearly, and begin healing together. Recovery is rarely a straight line, and I’m here to walk alongside you through each twist and turn.
I’m also trained in EMDR, which allows me to help clients gently and safely process trauma that may be affecting their relationships, self-worth, or ability to move forward. Whether you’re working through past wounds, navigating grief, or trying to understand recurring patterns in your relationships, we’ll explore it at your pace and in a way that feels grounded and empowering.
My style is person-centered and conversational—you won’t find judgment here, just honest dialogue, curiosity, and a commitment to helping you reconnect with your strengths. I believe healing happens in relationship, and together we’ll work toward clarity, growth, and a deeper sense of connection with yourself and the people you love.
If you’re ready to take the next step, I’m here and honored to support you.
